HOTEL INFORMATION / RESERVATIONS

A special rate of $215 per night (plus tax) at the Inn at Harvard has been arranged. Please make your reservation directly with the hotel by calling 800-458-5886 or 617-491-2222 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. or via email at reservations@theinnatharvard.com and refer to the group name The Quality Colloquium to receive the group rate. Reservations must be received no later than Friday, July 17, 2010. After that cut-off date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis.
A discounted rate of $179 per night (plus tax) is available at the Harvard Square Hotel. This is a 2-3 star sister property of the Inn at Harvard that does not offer any food and beverage service (a restaurant or room service). This rate is based on space availability only.

OVERFLOW HOTEL
A special rate of $215 per night (plus tax) at the Charles Hotel has been arranged Please make your reservation directly with the hotel by calling 617-864-1200 or toll-free at 800-882-1818 and request the Quality Colloquium Room Block to receive the group rate. Reservations must be received no later than Thursday, August 5, 2010. After that cut-off date, reservations will be accepted on a space and rate available basis.
To make Online Reservations please do the following:
- Go to the hotel's website www.charleshotel.com
- Click on the "Reservations" button on the left hand side of the screen
- In the booking window, Click on the "Groups" tab at the top of the page
- Enter the Attendee Code: QUALITYAUG2010
- Click on the dates you wish to stay
- Click on the room type preferred (Deluxe)
- Click on Complete contract and billing information
- You will be emailed a confirmation number.
Note: Cancellations, regardless of reservation method, will be accepted prior to forty-eight (48 hours prior to arrival. If the reservation is no longer required and is not cancelled prior to this time, the reservation will be released and one (1) night's room and tax will be billed to the credit card on file.

Walking Directions to Memorial Hall:
From the Inn at Harvard: Depart the rear door of the Inn and it's a straight shot down Quincy Street to Memorial Hall which will be on the upper left hand corner of the intersection.
From the Harvard Square Hotel: Take a left onto JFK Street to Harvard Square. Take a right on Massachusetts Avenue and go into Harvard Yard. From this entrance walk diagonally across the yard which will exit on the corner of Broadway and Quincy. Turn left on Quincy to Memorial Hall.
From the Charles Hotel: Take a right out of the hotel and then turn left at the traffic light onto Eliot Street into Harvard Square which will lead into Harvard Yard. From this entrance walk diagonally across the yard which will exit on the corner of Broadway and Quincy. Turn left on Quincy and proceed to Memorial Hall. Annenberg is inside Memorial Hall.
Walking Directions from the Charles or Harvard Square Hotel to the Faculty Club:
Take above directions and when you reach the ext on the corner of Broadway and Quincy, turn left. The Faculty Club is half way down the block on the opposite side of the road. It might be quicker to take Massachusetts Avenue and turn right on Quincy. It's a short distance on the left.

Parking:
For those of you who will be driving to Memorial Hall, the parking is especially difficult and parking is expensive if you don't plan ahead! Any participant who is bringing a vehicle to campus must secure a parking permit, or be subject to ticket and/or tow. On Sunday you may find a spot in metered parking but we strongly recommend that your best option is to purchase a daily permit for $5 for weekend days and $12.00 for week days. To do this, please contact the Parking Office at Harvard at 617-495-3772 prior to August 2nd.

The suggested garage is the 52 Oxford Garage which is a secure, 24 hour facility that requires a permit and an access card. The most direct way to get to the garage is to follow Massachusetts Avenue (from the Inn) and go north towards the Law School. Take a right onto Everett Street. You will come to a set of lights. Go straight through and approach the guard at the booth. This is the entrance to 52 Oxford Street. The university has a very detailed on-line map if you have any questions.
